Since so much domestic abuse takes place behind closed doors, it’s sometimes very difficult to know whether you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse. Shame, embarrassment and fear often add to the conspiracy of silence around the subject. If you suspect abuse, here are some of the warning signs to look out for. Knowledge is power.
