Welcome to Border Women's Aid Ltd.

BWA offers safe accommodation, support and information to women and their children (if any) who wish to escape domestic abuse. The refuge is a modern, clean and well equipped house. Each family has their own bedroom, although the rest of the house is shared. A drop-in service every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-12noon at our offices in Jedburgh offers practical and emotional support, information on legal rights, benefits and housing options.

Our Children's Service works with the children and young people who are staying, or have stayed in the refuge. An outreach service is also provided to support you and your family practically and emotionally until you feel safe and secure after you have left the refuge and are living in your new home.

If you would like help and support but are not looking for refuge accommodation, LetSBsafeprovides emotional and practical support to anyone over the age of 18 who is currently experiencing domestic abuse or who is a survivor of past abuse. Experienced project workers will give time, space and understanding to help you make informed choices about your situation. The work of LetSBsafe is based on a 'safety first' principle and purely on the needs of victims and children.
