BWA receives Community Mental Health and Wellbeing grant funding

Border Women’s Aid has been working hard to source funding to strengthen our service so we are delighted to receive an award of much-needed funding from the Borders Community Action (BCA) Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

It is a real struggle in the current climate for essential work like ours to compete successfully for grants and other sources of funding, so we are extremely grateful to BCA for looking at our application and believing in us!

Our allocation of £40K over 2 years forms part of wider national investment in early intervention and community support for mental health, social connection and tackling loneliness which we will deliver via our Outreach Service.

Hands keeping me safe and comfortable. Helping me to find joy. Thank you so much for the last 14 months

Having a safety plan in place has reduced my stress

I feel safer knowing BWA are supporting me

I feel amazing, in control, a different person

I feel more in control and hopeful because of BWA support
